MILLS is revolutionizing the home renovation experience for kitchen and bathroom remodels. Founded by Lindsay Meyer, a seasoned entrepreneur with deep expertise in interior design who has helped design and stage over $1B worth of spaces, MILLS was born from a simple observation: home renovations are unnecessarily complex, stressful, and expensive.

After spending years watching homeowners struggle with project management, contractor coordination, and budget overruns, Lindsay envisioned a better way. Drawing on her background as both a Wall Street home improvement analyst and a VC-backed retail founder, she created MILLS to put renovation success back in homeowners' hands.

Today, we're building intelligent tools that guide homeowners through every step of their renovation journey - from initial design visualization and material selection to contractor management and project scheduling. Our mission is to make home improvement faster, cheaper, and more accessible for everyone, helping users save 15% or more on their renovation costs.

The Opportunity

As our first Go-to-Market hire, you'll have a tremendous impact on shaping our launch strategy, growth trajectory, and market presence. You'll work directly with our founding team to develop and execute our go-to-market playbook, with the potential to grow into a leadership role as we scale.

What You'll Do

Pre-Launch

  • Develop and execute our early access strategy, including website optimization for email capture

  • Create compelling blog/SEO content to establish thought leadership for launch

  • Help build and nurture our "First 100 user list" of high-value potential customers

  • Design and implement our referral program ($250 per referral that completes a project on MILLS)

Launch & Rollout

  • Spearhead our phased geographic expansion, starting with San Francisco and scaling to regional, state, and multi-state presence

  • Cultivate relationships with regional contractors through proactive outreach

  • Develop and refine our launch playbook for each new market

Lead Generation

  • Establish strategic partnerships with real estate brokerages and major online home improvement retailers

  • Manage digital marketing initiatives including Google Ads experimentation with optimized spend

  • Create viral content strategies for Reddit, TikTok, and YouTube

  • Secure interviews on top industry podcasts

  • Coordinate PR efforts, including bundling launch announcements with fundraising news

  • Develop and execute our organic content strategy through blog/SEO

  • Implement local marketing tactics including local news placements and targeted direct mail

Lead Conversion

  • Optimize website conversion through compelling lead magnets, testimonials, and showcase galleries

  • Develop case studies highlighting successful MILLS renovations

  • Implement and manage channel partner discount programs

  • Create and track conversion-focused offers

  • Establish metrics and reporting systems to track marketing effectiveness

What We're Looking For

  • 7-10 years of experience in growth marketing, preferably in consumer technology or home improvement

  • Proven track record of successful product launches and market expansion initiatives

  • Experience building and executing multi-channel marketing strategies

  • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels and metrics

  • Excellent relationship-building skills with both B2B partners and consumer audiences

  • Data-driven approach to marketing with experience optimizing for conversion

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment

  • Startup experience preferred, especially in consumer-facing products

  • Ownership mindset and ability to execute with limited resources

Plusses

  • Experience in the home improvement, real estate, or interior design industries

  • Background in contractor relationship management

  • Experience with partnerships and channel marketing

  • Understanding of SEO and content marketing strategy

  • Experience with community building and referral programs

  • Familiarity with AI-powered products and their unique value propositions
